After a stellar performance over the weekend, a member of the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings received honours on Monday. Goaltender Dazza Mitchell was named the SJHL's goaltender of the week. 

Over the course of two games against the Yorkton Terriers, Mitchell posted a shutout and allowed just two goals, finishing the weekend with a goals-against average of 0.93, and a save percentage of .964. 

While he was tagged with he shootout loss in Friday night's 3-2 final to start the season, he followed it up with a 1-0 shutout win Saturday night in Yorkton.

The Red Wings will be looking for more strong play from Mitchell this coming weekend as the Red Wings take on the Estevan Bruins in a home-and-home. It starts Friday night in Estevan, with the return leg back at Crescent Point Place Saturday night.
