The Weyburn Comprehensive School Eagles combined for 198 yards rushing, and another 166 yards passing on their way to a 45-21 of the Peacock Tornadoes from Moose Jaw in the league semi-finals Saturday afternoon.

On the ground, Owen Istace led the way with 72 yards rushing and a touchdown, with quarterback Conner Kerr scrambling for another 44 and a major.

Kerr also got it done through the air, finishing the day going 4-for-5 and 121 yards and two touchdowns. Nolan Uhren also spent some time under centre, going 4-for-6 and 45 yards and a touchdown. Asher Knox was the favourite target of the two quarterbacks, catching three passes for 80 yards in the win.

Chace Kradovill and Braeden Junk were monsters defensively for the Eagles. Junk finished the game with seven tackles and a sack, while Kradovill picked up two sacks of his own in the win. The Eagles also combined for three interceptions.

With the win, the Eagles are now off the league finals, where they will be facing either the Yorkton Raiders or the Central Cyclones. The Eagles picked up wins over both of those teams, in dominant fashion, during the regular season. No matter the opponent, the game will be played next weekend at Darold Kot Field.
