There’s an opportunity to make a difference for a child this Holiday season at the Fire Brigade Toy Drive this Saturday.

Mike Hudson with the Fire Brigade explains the event, which takes place at Weyburn’s Canadian Tire.

“We're going to have a fire truck at the in the front of the store and what the people do is they go into the store, buy an unwrapped toy, we put it in the truck, and then after we fill the truck up, we’ll take it to the Family Place and make a donation.”

Hudson adds that toys for any age group will be accepted as donations to the Family Place.

“Whatever you find inside the store that's for a child we'll put it in the truck and we'll give it to the family place.”

Another reason to attend this event is a special guest appearance.

“Santa Claus will be making an appearance and people can get their photo taken with Santa at the fire truck.”

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
