A giant inflatable Santa was the victim of vandalism on the 600 block of King st. The suspect was seen damaging a blow-up Santa. The suspect was described as man in his late teens to early twenties, with dark hair, and was wearing a red jacket at the time of the incident. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the Weyburn Police Service, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The Weyburn Police service received a report of mischief. A vehicle parked on the 300 block of fourth street had some of its wheel nuts loosened. The investigation is on going.

Another scam has come to Weyburn. The intended victim of this scam receives an email from what appears to be the Canada Post in regards to a missed delivery. Canada Post does not conduct business this way.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on November 22 after a warrant was issued in agreeance with the Youth Detoxification and Stabilization Act. With the assistance of Weyburn Police he was then taken to Regina where he was assessed and will be housed in a secure youth facility.

An investigation is on going in regards to a residential break and enter where a small amount of money was stolen.

A domestic disturbance between a 50-year-old-man and a 51-year-old-woman. The situation was mediated and required no further police involvement.

Police were dispatched to a report of an assault-in-progress around 4:00 a.m. on Saturday. It was initially thought to have been a 22-year-old-man that had been assaulted by two 19-year-old-men. It was determined after further investigation that it had been a bout of consensual play fighting among friends that got a little too rough. As a result the 22-year-old-man was taken to the hospital to treat the injuries he received.

City police were dispatched to a report of a break-and-enter on Saturday. Upon further investigation the disturbance was determined to be a dispute among occupants of the residence. A 28-year-old-man was taken into custody for public intoxication and was released once he was sober.

Police received a call and responded to a local pub where a 22-year-old-man was causing issues. The issue was resolved with the man accepting a taxi ride back to his residence.

Police responded to a call in the 800 block of Fifth St NE. A report of domestic assault came in around noon on Sunday. After police spoke to both people involved the matter was concluded with no further police involvement necessary.
