The Brokenshell Multiple 4-H Club is launching a new fundraising event, featuring a delicious roast beef supper. The event will be held at the Trossachs Hall on Saturday, March 16th. General Leader, Kristin Caldwell explains how the fundraiser effort helps its young members.

“Part of 4-H is we like to learn to do by doing and take lots of different opportunities. But of course, that costs money for our 4-H members. And so, our fundraiser, our goal is to help provide for our treatment day, our tours where we go around to different industries that are related to livestock. So, whether that be reproduction facilities or feed lots. And then we have learning days where we have clinicians come in and help our kids learn how to groom and feed cattle. So, with that are some expenses and this dinner fundraiser is an opportunity for us to help offset some of those costs.”

Included in the evening is a member auction where the youth will be providing an item or service to raise money for the club.

“We’re going have a little bit of fun and the members are coming up with either an item or a service that we're going to auction off. So that member might be making a pie or donating three hours of babysitting and then that that product or service will be auctioned off as well as having some learning draws which will just be some raffle items and that type of thing.”

The event will kick off at 6 p.m. tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for 12 and under, and five and under are free. To keep up to date with the Brokenshell Multiple 4-H Club you can follow its Facebook page
