The U15 AA Annugas WIngs were on the road for three games in three days on the weekend and came home with a possible two of six points.

The weekend started in Saskatoon, as the Wings took on the Generals. The Generals would finish the first period with the lead, and held on for a 6-3 victory.

The scoring started Saskatoon at the 4:08 mark, with Sean Shiels scoring. Lee Shurgot followed it up 1:42 later to make it 2-0 for the home side.

Weyburn responded with a pair of goals in short order themselves. It began when Aidan Mohan scored with 10:37 to play in the period. He was assisted on the goal by Ryder Gilroy and Evan Guest. Then Justin Whitrow scored with 8:47 remaining in the first, assisted by Langston Gold, to make it a 2-2 game.

Before the period was over, though, Sam Wardell would score for the Generals to give them a 3-2 lead as they headed to the locker room after 20 minutes.

In the second period, Shurgot scored his second of the game to open the lead up to 4-2 for Saskatoon, then Thomas Ballantyne made it 5-2 for the Generals with 3:24 remaining.

Shurgot would complete his hat trick with a power play goal in the third period, coming with 6:12 left to play.

In the dying moments, the Wings did all they could to try to close the gap. It resulted in a goal from Guest with 1:06 left to play, but there wasn’t enough time remaining for the Wings to finish the comeback.

Saturday, the road trip took the Wings to Humboldt where they faced the U15 Broncos. There, a pair of third period goals lifted the Wings to a 4-3 victory.

The Broncos scored the lone goal of the first period when Ty Dauvin managed to beat Nicholas Forsyth with 3:13 left on the clock to make it 1-0.

The lead was extended for the home team just 2:45 into the middle frame when Dayne Beuker scored on the power play.

Weyburn would reply with 2:13 remaining in the period as Gold scored his first of the game. Brennan Brown assisted on the power play marker.

Humboldt answered with a shorthanded goal with 4:51 left, as Dawson Malinowski scored to make it 3-1 for the Broncos. It would only be 80 seconds later for the Wings to close the gap to one goal, as Guest scored, assisted by Mohan and Guest.

In the third period, Mohan would tie things up as he scored an unassisted marker 8:15 into the frame. Then, with just five seconds left, Gold scored his second goal of the night, assisted by Wade Franks and Whitrow, to make it 4-3 for the Wings.

The road trip closed out for the Wings Sunday afternoon in Tisdale, as they played the Northeast Wolfpack. The Wolfpack jumped out to an early lead and skated to a 6-1 victory.

Ryder Mucha scored a pair of goals in the first period for the Wolfpack to give them a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. This was followed up with two goals from Gavin Lefebvre in the second period, and a third goal from Kalem Drechsler to make it 5-0 for the home side.

In the third, Hayle Dennis extended the lead to 6-0. Weyburn would score with 3:36 to play in the game, as Brown found the twine, assisted by Gilroy.
