The U15 AA Southeast Whitecap Gold Wings took to the road on the weekend, travelling to Prince Albert for a pair of games against the Foxes.

The first game was played Saturday afternoon, and four third period goals, two on the power play, helped the Foxes to a 6-4 victory.

Ella Schenher opened the scoring, giving the Gold Wings the lead, just 3:57 into the game. She was assisted on the goal by Addison Greve.

The Foxes replied in the second period, with Kadence Dansereau scoring at the 6:33 mark. Then, Stryker Zablocki would make it 2-1 for the home team as she scored a shorthanded goal with 7:56 remaining in the middle frame.

Weyburn replied with a shorthanded goal of their own. Greve would score just 64 seconds later to make it 2-2 after 40 minutes of play.

In the third period, Kara Bergen would make it a 3-2 game for Prince Albert, scoring on the power play 2:16 into the period. The lead wouldn’t last too long, as Julia Burr scored for the Gold Wings at the 4:51 mark to tie the game. The goal was assisted by Brooke Allan.

Schenher then gave the Gold Wings the lead 29 seconds later, scoring on the power play. She was assisted on the goal by Hadley Gerle.

The Foxes didn’t take too long to tie the game up, however, as just 17 seconds later Dansereau scored while short handed to make it a 4-4 game.

Prince Albert would then take the lead at the 7:17 mark as Ayden Kehrig scored the Foxes' third shorthanded goal of the game to make it 5-4. Then, with 1:47 remaining, Zablocki scored her second goal of the game, this time on the power play, to make it 6-4.

The two teams met again Sunday afternoon, and Prince Albert would score four unanswered goals en route to a 4-1 victory.

Greve opened the scoring for the Gold Wings just 2:06 into the game. Her power play goal was assisted by Gerle.

Then, the Foxes took over, with Kara Bergen and Claire Moorman scoring in the second period, and Zablocki adding two goals, including one on the power play, in the third, to lift the Foxes to a victory.

The Gold Wings will be off to a tournament in Regina next weekend and will resume league play on November 27th when they head to Warman to face the Wildcats.
