The restrictions were lifted Thursday afternoon.

A message went out Wednesday afternoon advising Weyburn residents that they are now under a Water Restriction Advisory.

The advisory, put in place by the City, went into effect at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11th, and is due to maintenance repairs on the City of Weyburn's raw water line.

The City is asking that residents reduce water consumption and non-essential water use. Some ways the City recommended reducing water usage is by not running the water tap unnecessarily, not running dishwashers or washing machines, flushing toilets only when necessary, and reducing bathing or showering.

They are also encouraging people using the Weyburn Utility Board and residents in the RM of Weyburn to follow the same restrictions.

The advisory is in effect until further notice.
