The Weyburn Police Service reported no injuries in a collision at an intersection along Highway 39 in Weyburn last week, but both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.

“There was a vehicle that was northwestbound on Moore Street attempting to make a left turn to northwestbound on Highway 39,” explained Constable Kalin Wiebe with the Weyburn Police Service. “Unfortunately the driver of the vehicle entered the intersection before it was safe, and ran into another vehicle that was on the highway.”

Wiebe explained there was major damage to one of the vehicles, while the other vehicle had minor damage.

The driver of the vehicle that turned onto the highway was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for proceeding from a stop sign before it was safe to do so.
