This week the Weyburn Public Library is set to host its Annual General Meeting and the public is welcome to attend, Branch Manager, Dawn Silver shares what is on the agenda.

“It's (AGM) going to talk about how well we did with our finances in 2023. Any plans for 2024 like board recruitment talking to our MLA, being aware of what's going on in the municipality, and talking to them and letting them know how we're carefully spending their funding.”

Silver extends a warm invite and welcomes volunteers, “We're always looking for input from the community and community members. It doesn't take a huge amount of time. We do ask you to maybe go stick posters up for major events. And you also can feel like you're giving back to your community which is always worthwhile.”

The AGM will be held in the evening on Thursday, March 14, the doors will open at 6 p.m. and the meeting will kick off at 6:30 p.m.
