Weyburn's Robin Stelter, a five-pin bowler, took home a Singles Gold medal and a Team Bronze medal at the Special Olympics Regina tournament this past weekend. Next week, she'll be heading to Calgary for the Special Olympics Canada Nationals competition.

"This is my first time going out of Saskatchewan. I'm excited," she shared, adding she plans to take plenty of pictures.

Coach Jo-Ann Paxman said 48 athletes from Saskatchewan will be attending the national games.

"The other bowling teams are made up from all over Saskatchewan, and all the other sports there, like, curling skiing, figure skaters, floor hockey, snowshoeing, speed skaters."

As part of the Weyburn Special Olympics bowling team, Stelter has been practicing her bowling skills here in Weyburn. She said she's most looking forward to meeting new friends and seeing who she knows from the Ontario, as she is originally from Dryden.
