While there were only two games in the SJHL Wednesday night, they had plenty of excitement. The games saw one team turn its fortune around, and another bounce back from a rough weekend.

The skid has halted for the La Ronge Ice Wolves. After dropping ten straight games, they picked up a win on home ice Wednesday night. They beat the Kindersley Klippers 3-2. They found their offense from Brayden Dunn, Derek Frater and Derek Patter, building up a 3-0 lead. They held off the Klippers who charged late in the game, but were unable to get the game-tying goal.

In Melville, the Estevan Bruins bounced back from a rout by the Battleford North Stars on the weekend, with a rout of their own. They easily handled the Melville Millionaires with a 7-2 win, in Melville. The two teams held onto a 1-1 tie until the final frame, then the floodgates opened for Estevan. Levi Barnstable scored two goals, while Matthew Kesslering Picked up two assists. Matt McNeil added a goal and an assist for the Bruins.

There are no games on tap in the SJHL Thursday, with the schedule picking back up on the weekend with five games. The Red Wings will be skating in one of those, as they host the Melville Millionaires at Crescent Point Place.
