The first phase of construction is complete for the new International Trade Centre at Regina’s Evraz Place.

Canadian Western Agribition is coming up next week and will be able to use two of the multipurpose rooms.

Organizers say cattle, horses, sheep and goats will be housed in the new facility this year.

At this point the facility is fully enclosed and permanent lighting is in place.

There’s still a dirt floor in the partially completed facility which also includes a 38-stall wash rack.

Earlier this week Regina’s Mayor and Provincial Agriculture Minister Lyle Stewart had their first tour of the site and seemed pleased.
