The Saskatchewan Pulse Growers are extending their temporary levy reduction for another year.

The levy is collected on pulses and soybeans. The reduction which went into effect in 2016 for a one year period saw the levy drop from 1% to 0.67%.

The Saskatchewan Pulse Growers have now extended the levy until July 31, 2018.

The move to temporarily reduce the levy, and now to extend it was due to the surplus funds on hand due to record acres and strong prices in recent years.
