The Weyburn Silver Seals hosted an invitational swim meet, on Saturday, July 14th. Swim meets are open to the public, and there is no cost to watch the races.  You can enjoy a full day of excitement and anticipation watching athletes from all over Saskatchewan.  Sometimes, there are even provincial records that are broken, and to bear witness to that, is always a treat.

The day, as always, begins with a splash:

There are four (choice) strokes they compete in the day's events, with many different lengths to choose from. (25m is one length --> up to 200m).

1.  Freestyle

2. Backstroke

3. Butterfly [GALLERY]

There are relays that add to the teams' total points, but, have no bearing on individual points needed to take home a medal.

The team with top points, was the Esteven Eels with 705 points!!! (Weyburn Silver Seals came in second with 382 points)

CONGRATULATIONS, to all the swimmers:  some for attending your first meet, others for attaining new personal best times, and of course, all of the medal winners!!!

We can't wait to see you all compete in our home meet, again, next year.
