The 18U AA Weyburn Beavers took to the road for the long weekend, with a stop for two games in Saskatoon Saturday. They would play the Athletics in the afternoon, and then the Blue Jays in the evening. Weyburn took both of the games to improve to a 4-1 record. 

In the first game, the Beavers would put up four runs in the third inning, and three in the fifth, on their way to a 10-0 win, their third shutout of the season.  

Weyburn was led at the plate by Dallen Oxelgren and Wyatt Godlonton, who had two RBIs each. They also added a double to the stat line. Noah Kopec, Sam Mallory, Owen Klein and Keaton Husband also drove in runs in the victory.  

On the basepaths, Kopec would steal five bases in the game. Also nabbing pillows was Oxelgren and Karsten Geiger. 

On the mound, Husband went the distance, allowing six hits and striking out eight to get the complete-game shutout. 

The second game of the day had the Beavers rallying for seven runs in the sixth inning to get a 14-3 victory over the Blue Jays. 

Mallory led the way with an inside-the-park home run that scored two runs. He would finish the game with four RBI. Ryker Watt would have four RBI as well, with three coming off a bases-clearing triple. Seth Deis drove in two runs, with Oxelgren, Godlonton and Husband recording RBIs as well. 

On the mound, Watt had the start, going five innings and striking out thirteen, allowing three runs, one earned, on two hits and two walks. The sixth inning was pitched by Vlad Szczecinski, who struck out one.  

The 18U AA Beavers will now travel to Muenster for a pair of games against the Red Sox Sunday.
