The Weyburn Comprehensive High School SRC will leave a lasting legacy this year, with an opportunity to give the school a new art installation. Joanne Jenson, Career Counsellor Weyburn Comprehensive High School shares the details, “One of the exciting projects that we are working on right now is that our SRC has applied for a grant and we received it. It was from the Canadian Student Leadership Association, we are going to be doing a Treaty 4 Art Installation; we are very excited about that.”

The SRC and students at Weyburn Comprehensive won’t be tackling this work alone, Jenson shares “We have students that are going to be collaborating with an Artist from the First Nations University and we will be working with her in collaboration to put up a meaningful art installation in our Commons in our School to recognize Treaty 4.”

The Commons area will have a new look with the art installation before the school year is out says Jenson, “We are really happy about the project and it should be completed by the end of June.”
