Despite some freezing temperatures already this winter, southeast residents can look forward to near normal temperatures and snowfall this season.

However, according to Paul Adams, the Manager of Briefing Services for the Weather Network, harsher conditions are being forecast further north, including the cities of Regina and Saskatoon, and across the country.

Adams says the normal high for the southeast in December is -6.5, with a normal high of -9.4 in January.
