A great way to kick off the Christmas season and get into the holiday spirit is by enjoying an evening of entertainment with the multi-award-winning Barra Mac Neils and their show, ‘An East Coast Christmas’ on Monday, November 28 at the Weyburn Cugnet Centre.

The outstanding artists hale from Nova Scotia; however, their east coast roots and Celtic music are celebrated throughout the world delivering sold-out shows in Canada, the Caribbean, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The group has also been featured on CMT and PBS, bringing one-hour television specials that audiences can enjoy year after year.

Whether it’s the vocals, sibling harmonies, flute, accordion, tin whistle, fiddle, or step-dancing, the Barra MacNeils, leave audiences delighted and wanting more so much that this will be their third performance in Weyburn.

“Weyburn Concert Series had them here in April 2015, that was when the new school and the Weyburn Cugnet Centre hadn’t even been open for a year.  I was a volunteer many years ago with the Triple C Centre Corp, which was a small group of volunteers who were the foundation of how we even got to have a multipurpose venue at the high school. We had Barra MacNeils as our talent at the world’s largest fowl supper,” said Linda Aitken, member of Weyburn Concert Series.

If you don’t have season tickets, no problem, you can grab your advanced tickets at Old Fashion Foods or the Weyburn Review, $40 for adults or $20 for students/children or $45 and $25 at the door. Doors open at 6:30 pm show starts at 7:30 pm.
