The Humane Society has needed a new building for some time, as their current building is starting to give up and things are only getting worse. So they will be holding a bottle drive to help fundraise for a brand new building. We spoke with Randy Bakaluk the Chairperson of the Weyburn Humane Society's recycling program about the bottle drive.

"Coming up next week May 24th to May 31st, we're going to be holding a mega bottle drive to raise new money for a brand new building!"

To accommodate everyone and make it as simple as it can be for you, there are three different ways you can donate to the bottle drive.

"You can call or text me at (306) 861-8332 and I'll be there to pick it up in a minute or you can drop your donations off at the shelter in our grey bin. Or call the shelter and leave your name and address and phone number and they will get in touch with me to come to pick it up."

The Humane Society needs a new building more than they ever have before and every little bit helps no matter how much or how little!

For those able to help out with other items, the Humane Society is also needing a few donations like puppy food, bleach, garbage bags, dog toys, and dish soap.
