Looking back over the past year, Weyburn Co Op General Manager Don Kraft says 2009 was another good one. "We had good financial results this ear, it wasn't quite to the levels of 2008 but 2008 was a record year for us. In 2009, we did major renovations, upgraded our facilities, increased our assets by over $4 million and we are very happy with the way the facilities turned out and feel we are poised for a lot of marketing for the future."

Kraft says the Co Op prides itself on giving back to it's members. "Cash back to the members is going to be substantial. The allocation was over $1.9 million and of that, around $1.5 million will be paid back in cash to the membership. We are very pleased with what we have been able to do in the last few years with cash back. Our three year average is $1.7. million per year which is very positive for this community."

Looking forward, Kraft says in 2010, "the only thing that is on the drawing board at this present time is completing the upgrade at our Gas Bar location on the Food Store lot with new pumps and new point of sale till equipment. We did the exterior of the facility last year. Other than that, it's going to be a planning year because we do see some opportunities down the road."
