Brayden King's success with American Idol has created lots of excitement even reaching beyond the Saskatchewan border.
Brayden Leslie and Alex Hansen were returning to their hotel Friday evening when they heard Brayden King singing in a neighbouring pub in Calgary. Brayden and Alex quickly took a detour to catch King's performance.
"A bunch of people originally from Weyburn who have never met and end up getting to know one another through randomly all showing up at a bar in Calgary to watch Brayden King play, such a cool experience," said Leslie. "Brayden brought all these people from Weyburn together with what he is achieving right now and he is another amazing Weyburn talent but an even better person."
King passed the first two rounds in American Idol, and according to his social media post he has made it to the Showstoppers Round in Hollywood which is to be aired tomorrow night.
