Shelter rate increases, expanding the Saskatoon and Regina boundaries to include the Statistics Canada Metropolitan areas, and increasing living allowance and the shelter amounts.

Just a few of the changes that were presented by Social Services Minister Donna Harpauer as the Saskatchewan Government responded to the report on Affordable Housing.

The package of enhancements will benefit approximately 65 hundred households at an annual cost of 11.3 milliom.
With the province rapidly growing, housing has become an issue as rent goes up and the price of homes climbs along with it.
