Weyburn's Jorde Chartrand has been in Niagra this week, joining Team Saskatchewan in the Canada Summer Games.

Chartrand is a member of Team Saskatchewan's female softball team.

On Sunday, Chartrand and Team Sask defeated Nova Scotia 7-0. Chartrand was at bat twice and landed an RBI. The team followed it up on Monday with a 7-0 win over PEI and a 3-0 loss to Manitoba.

Yesterday, Jorde took to the mound to pitch against undefeated Team BC. Chartrand pitched all 7 innings, racking up 8 strikeouts and giving up just three hits, leading Team Saskatchewan to a 2-0 win.

With the win, Team Sask, Team BC, and Team Manitoba all finished the pool with a record of 3-1. Team Sask was designated third place and are expected to be back in action today, although their opponent has not yet been announced.
