A Weyburn man is facing a number of child pornography charges after an investigation conducted by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit, with assistance from the Weyburn Police Service. 

Twenty-one-year-old Brandon Collins was arrested after a warrant was executed at a home in Weyburn on Wednesday. In addition to the arrest, a number of electronic devices were seized for forensic analysis. The warrant was executed after an investigation that began in January of this year. 

Collins is charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography available and bestiality. Another child pornography charge related to an investigation by the Weyburn Police Service that started in September of last year was also laid. He made his first appearance in court on Thursday.  

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit is made up of investigators from the RCMP, the Regina Police Service, the Saskatoon Police Service and the Prince Albert Police Service. They investigate crimes involving the abuse and exploitation of children on the internet.
