The provincial government reported there was a jump in hospitalizations with COVID-19 Saturday.  

In the update released Saturday afternoon, there were 19 more people in hospital with COVID-19 compared to Friday as the number moved up to 150. There were also three more people in intensive care, bringing that total to 11.  

Across the province, there were 1,114 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported, with a test positivity rate of 32.5 percent.  

Geographically, the new cases break down with the majority in Saskatoon (327) and Regina (266). There were 76 new cases in the Central East Region and 71 in the South East Region. Another 70 cases were reported in the North Central Region.  

The South West had 53 new cases, while there were 49 reported in the North West. The South Central Region had 30 new cases reported, while there were 29 in the North East region. There were 25 new cases in the Far North West, 17 in the Central West five in the Far North Central and four in the Nar North East. 

There were another 3,063 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered, 1,255 of those first doses, bringing the total percentage of the province with two or more doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to 74.4 percent.
