As Weyburn residents await tonight’s Movie in the Park, CUPE Local 5430 Region 4 is handing out free popcorn outside of their building downtown.  

They will also be giving out free popcorn this evening at the event, taking place at around 9:00 p.m. at Jubilee Park.  

“We supply different things for different events,” said Susan Coad, Facility representative with Tatagwa View. “We do the parade, we do Movie in the Park, which we're doing tonight, we do the Christmas parade, we hand out hot chocolate and cookies there. We just try to get ourselves out in the public so that they know we're a public sector and we're out there working for you.”   

Admission to the event is free, and Disney’s Encanto will be presented.  

Fun in the Sun programmers with the City of Weyburn will be on-site at 7:30 p.m. to do activities with the kids.
