The Canadian Wheat Board has decided it will no longer hold discussions with the Federal government about barley marketing.

The Wheat Board decision comes on the heals of an hour-long meeting with Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz on Tuesday.

Board Chair Ken Ritter says there seems to be no starting point for discussions and at this time there's not enough common ground either.

The Federal Conservatives want to end the Wheat Board's barley marketing monopoly in Western Canada.
