The Canadian Wheat Board is going back to court as it tries to prevent Bill C-18 from becoming law.

"An application is being filled in the Manitoba Court Of Queens Bench, it will ask the court to deem the bill invalided because it violates the rule of law. We will also ask the Court to issue an order to preventing implications of the Bill until this case has been decided." explains Allen Oberg, Chairman.

The Senate is currently considering Bill C-18, which would dismantle the CWB single desk without farmers' consent or consultation as required by law.

The Bill is expected to be passed and sent for Royal Assent by the end of this week.
