Regina-based band Dead Levee is hosting their EP Release Party Friday, April 22 in Regina at the Revival Music Room.  The Revival Music Room celebrates some of the most accomplished musicians in the province.   The celebration comes in time for Dead Levee to release their third and final song, Rise Up from their new EP with the same name.

The night will be jammed packed with great musicians as Weyburn’s own Brayden King will be opening the show, bands The Radiant and The Hourhand will also be playing, and then the host of the show, Dead Levee will perform until the night’s end.

We asked Dane Von Hagen frontman for Dead Levee what inspired their latest song.

“Sound-wise it’s got a real rock ‘n’ roll sound with an AC/DC inspired vocal with a heavy-hitting guitar,” said Von Hagen.  “It’s a song about, you know, everybody has got their problems and welcome to the lion's den, but we’re going to rise up altogether and make the most of it, it’s another motivational themed tune.”

Dead Levee is booked for the next three weekends as they complete their new EP tour.   The tour begins in Regina, next weekend they will be in Saskatoon, and the following weekend they will complete their tour in Winnipeg.

You can get advance tickets for $15 online at the Revival Music Room or you can go to Dead Levee’s Facebook page here or you can get tickets at the door for $20. Doors open at 8 pm.

On Saturday, April 23 Dane Von Hagen, Brayden King, and Tayler Morgan will be back in Weyburn performing at Pump Jacks.
