Update: All previous closed updates have reopened. As of 4:30 Tuesday morning, most highways around Weyburn are still showing wintery conditions and travel is still not recommended on Highway 39 between the Corinne turn off and Moose Jaw.

Original Story:

As another winter weather system rolls through the province, highways are once again closing as conditions deteriorate.

As of 7:30 Monday evening, highways directly through Weyburn are still showing winter driving conditions ranging from swirling snow to icy and slippery sections as well as reduced visibility.

Slightly north of the city, travel is not recommended. This includes a section of hHighway 35 near Francis and Highway 33.

As well, highways are closed just north of Carlyle as well as sections of the Number One highway and Highway 11 from Regina all the way to Saskatoon.

Conditions are expected to change rapidly throughout the evening. We will have the latest on our Road Report Link.
