With hundreds of thousands of tonnes of dried distillers grains, plus solubles expected to hit the market over the next several years, will cattlemen utilize it in rations?

Dr. John McKinnon, the beef industry chair at the University of Saskatchewan, feels they will.

He adds what we do know is DDG's are very high in protein and energy.

McKinnon believes the availability of dried distillers grains will impact the way we feed our cattle in a positive way, especially from a cost standpoint.
