Legacy Park Elementary School's Performing Arts club, guided by the talented Holly Butz, is set to enchant the audience with an exciting rendition of the beloved story, Finding Nemo. Featuring the dynamic performance of seventy-five grade 5 and 6 students, this show promises a delightful twist on the classic tale!

Director Holly Butz shares the exciting details, “Finding Nemo tells the story of the little clownfish Nemo and his father Marlin, and the forgetful Dory, just like in the movie. But our production has music. Each group of characters that Marlin and Dory meet on their adventure across the ocean to rescue Nemo. They find themselves interacting with sharks and jellyfish, sea turtles, and a tank gang at the aquarium, and we also have our beloved seagulls and pelicans. Our Pelicans are our narrators.”

Wanting only to celebrate the love of art, while giving the young actors an experience to remember there will be no ticket sales, instead a voluntary silver collection will be taken at the door.

“We just would love to open our doors to our community. Here in Weyburn, we have a community that supports the arts, so we would love to welcome you to Legacy Park for our performances next week.”

The event will feature two showings, the first on Wednesday, November 8th, and the second on Thursday, November 9th, at the gymnasium of Legacy Park Elementary School. The show will commence promptly at 7 p.m. on both evenings.
