A deluge through the streets of downtown this morning has warranted the closing of the intersection of Coteau Avenue and Second Street for construction.

"We don't know what happened quite yet," said Adam Hoffart, Public Relations Coordinator with the City of Weyburn. "We actually have crews working on isolating that issue and figuring out exactly what that issue is."

He said while they don't yet know the cause or how long repairs will take, they do know for sure that the issue is a break in the water main.

Drivers are asked to find alternate routes, and for safety reasons, pedestrians are urged to avoid the area.
