Weyburn saw a 30-centimetre dumping of snow beginning yesterday morning and overnight last night.

"We actually did get a report from Weyburn of 30 centimeters, and it looked pretty accurate. They had a picture of some lawn furniture with some pretty high snowfall on it and that kind of lines up with what radar was showing in the area too," said Meteorologist with Environment Canada, Chris Stammers.

He said it will taper off tomorrow.

"We are expecting about another five centimetres today and that will continue into tonight with another two, so it will slowly be easing up through the day and evening, but finally is going to pull out near midday tomorrow."

With the average seasonal daytime high for this time of year is around 14 degrees, the current forecast doesn't show it going above 10 degrees mid-next week.

"It shouldn't take more than a few days for melting," he noted. "I mean, we're going to be kind of struggling with our daytime highs over the next couple of days, temperatures will be like near 0 or 1 degree until it does look like by early next week we'll be starting to get out back up near 10 degrees, certainly by the middle of next week. So I would think within a couple of days next week, most of the snow will be gone."

The winter storm warning was lifted by 8:30 a.m. today.
