For the first time since 2019, members of Prairie Sky Co-op are able to take part in Equity Days in person.

This year, the event is kicking off at the Co-op Home Centre.

“It’s exciting to have them out here in the new building,” said Wanda Barlett, who works at the Home Centre. “It is good to see people in person out here, and able to hand out the equity cheques.”

This year, Prairie Sky Co-op is allocating $2.39 million back to its members, and $1.6 million of that is being paid out. Since Prairie Sky Co-op was incorporated, the equity payout to its members has totalled more than $55 million.

The Equity Days will continue throughout the week, with a number of events planned in the various communities that are served by Prairie Sky Co-op.

Tuesday, customers will be able to pick up their equity cheques at the Masonic Hall in Milestone between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The Lang Branch will host Equity Days on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

On Thursday, the equity cheques will be available for pick up at the Beaubier branch from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The week finishes off with the equity cheques being available at the Prairie Sky Co-op Food Store in Weyburn from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
