Little Discoveries Early Learning Co-operative, formerly Sooline Daycare, is having an exciting fundraising event for the whole family to enjoy. The fundraising event comes in response to providing more outdoor equipment for the children to enjoy. The Family Fun Day will begin on Wednesday, August 24, and run from 5 pm to 8 pm.

“We recently purchased some new shade for outside, we got two new pergolas and another gazebo which the kids have been loving,” said Jessica Fenwick, Supervisor. “This fundraiser is just to afford the pergolas and gazebo in the backyard.”

The outdoor equipment was purchased to help protect the kids from the hot summer days. However, the kids have proven themselves resourceful, and quickly found multiple uses for the equipment, including, creating imaginary circumstances where they play together as a group.

Fenwick continued, “They have been doing so many other things with it other than just using it for shade, the other day some kids turned it into a Pokemon School, and they were teaching the younger kids all about Pokemon, so it’s really great to have it back there.”

“It’s a great night, we’re going to have Wheelie Cool Treats, Melissa’s Cotton Candy, we have Seitz's Rentals there with some bouncy houses, I have a dunk tank coming, a lot of the kids are super excited, they love to see when the teachers are signed up so they can dunk their favourite teacher,” shared Fenwick.

To gain access to the fun activities, tickets will be on sale, ten for ten dollars.

Other events at the Family Fun Day include face painting by Fantastic Faces, a silent auction, and mini family photo shoots will also be available from Tina Storle photography. To take advantage of the photo shoot, prebook your 15-minute session by calling (306)842-1533.

Fenwick also shared that for anyone who is interested in the daycare that this would be a great time to come and view the centre.
