First 'sign' of theatre demolition comes down Monday

The old Soo Theatre sign was the first to come down late Monday to kick-off the demolition of the building proper, which will take place today.

The northbound lane of Third Street is blocked off, and drivers are asked to avoid the area for safety reasons.

Adair's Demolitions & Excavating will continue work this morning to bring down the old building, which was built in 1949-1950.
