The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce recently announced its plans for the Annual Summer Parade.

The Parade will take place on Thursday, June 30th, and will launch at 10:30 a.m.

The parade is happening on the same day as the Young Fellow’s Club 100th year Celebration. The Young Fellow’s Club will be marshalling the parade.

“Every year the Chamber of Commerce works closely with the Weyburn City Police to ensure our parade participants and spectators are safe”, said Larry Heggs, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “With the construction of the Legacy Elementary School and Credit Union Spark Centre being completed, the parade route will be changed to our previous route.”

They are also blocking 3rd street from Coteau Avenue to Railway Avenue.

“We encourage everyone to enjoy the safe downtown atmosphere, and don’t forget to check out your favorite local shops before and after the parade.”

The deadline to enter a float in the parade is June 28th. Parade entries can be registered on the Chamber website.

There is no charge to enter the Parade and awards will be given to the best entry in three categories of individual, organization and business.
