The Weyburn Theatre Community Service Cooperative has officially launched its website, weyburntheatre.com.
This is where those hoping to support the theatre can learn more about how to donate, and where you can see plans for the new theatre, as well as learn some history about the old historical Soo Theatre.
In fact, television and film producer Corey Morrissette is also looking for people who grew up going to the Soo Theatre to share their memories for a documentary he is making this year.
The old building is set to be demolished later this year, as it is unable to be repaired. However, plans are in motion for a modern, two-screen theatre in the very same downtown Weyburn location.
