A former employee at the Vibank Regional School is facing a number of charges after the Indian Head RCMP received a report about inappropriate communication between an adult and a young person.

The victim was identified as a student within the Prairie Valley School Division, and the suspect was an educational assistant with the division. The suspect was identified by the RCMP as 38-year-old Stacey Duke, from the RM of Francis.

In a release, the RCMP stated that Duke was an employee with the division at the time, and is no longer employed there.

The investigation into the report, which was originally made in October of last year, uncovered a second victim within the School Division. It is believed there could possibly be more victims, and anyone wishing to make a report is asked to contact the RCMP.

Duke is facing six charges currently. These include two counts of sexual exploitation of a young person, two counts of making sexually explicit material available to a child, and two counts of luring a child.

She is scheduled to make an appearance in Indian Head Provincial Court on March 7th.
