Ty Peterson who is on the male team, and Callie Damman and Bethany Honig on the female team are going to Niagara for the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Jack Missal, Sawyer Leko and Ryder Hignett, who are part of the U15 team, will be travelling to New Brunswick for the Canada Field Nationals.

Nash Hignett and Alex LaBrecque on the U14 team, and Maddox Mohan on the U12 team will be travelling to Langley, British Columbia for the Canada Minor Box Lacrosse Tournament.

"A group of us parents have gotten together to organize some fundraising efforts to help offset the expenses for these young athletes.” said Staci Labrecque, a volunteer with Weyburn Lacrosse. “We're excited to invite the community of Weyburn out to a barbeque lunch on August 3 at the Weyburn Credit Union.”

They will be selling hamburgers and hotdogs paired with chips and a drink for $7. The money raised will help with travel expenses and team gear.

Labrecque added Weyburn Lacrosse will be hosting an online Facebook auction which will run from August 1 to 5.

“There are some pretty amazing items on there for sale.”

A few other fundraisers are in the works for Weyburn Lacrosse. Their Facebook page can be seen HERE.
