It's Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen locations across the province, including here in Weyburn.

For every Blizzard sold today, all of the proceeds will be donated to Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. Monetary donations are also being accepted.

"It's quite busy, because we do have preorders already from last night," shared Assistant Manager of Dairy Queen in Weyburn, Krissel Canete. "We do have a few businesses that send their preorders, so we made it this morning, and then now we are just a little bit busy."

She explained order forms go out in advance to local businesses to ensure higher sales on Miracle Treat Day.

"So businesses order their Blizzards, so we can prepare it early, and then they will just come here and pick their orders."

Canete said Miracle Treat Day is usually quite a busy day. All net proceeds from Blizzard treats go to the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital in Saskatoon. Their goal today is to raise $5,000.

Weyburn’s Dairy Queen is open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
