The Weyburn Agricultural Society is gearing up for a busy weekend as they bring one of their biggest events of the year back.

“It's our 6th annual Flavours of Fall Food and Beverage Expo,” said Weyburn Ag Society member Lisa Vick. “It's quite a unique event to Weyburn and actually in the southeast. We've got a lot of local restaurants coming and we'll have beverages on site from lots of local wineries, breweries, and distilleries.”

The event runs this Saturday, October 7th, at the Ag Society Exhibition Hall.

“The doors open at 8:00 PM and we've got live entertainment throughout the night,” Vick said. “We've got Dan Cugnet kicking off the night and Tequila Mockingbird to end off the night. And we are done at 1:00.”

The event did not sell out ahead of time so a limited amount of tickets will be available at the door.

Flavours of Fall is a 19+ event. However, Vick noted that they do have access to safe rides home.

“We can even get you to the event if you like,” she laughed. “The phone lines will open at 7:00 PM. We will pick you up starting at just before 8. We will have you there at 8:00 to get into the doors because if you are there between 8:00 and 9:00, you are entered to win our fully stocked Flavours of Fall beverage center.”

While the event is always a fun one for the Community, it’s important to note that it is also a fundraiser for the Ag Society.

“All the proceeds from this event go into maintaining all the grounds that the Weyburn Agricultural Society has, like, the grandstand, the exhibition hall, which houses the curling rink facility, the barns to the rodeo arena, all of it. That is how we maintain and upkeep and expand what we've got on location there.”

“If you're looking for more details, check out our Facebook and Instagram flavors of fall. And just another reminder come hungry, come thirsty because there is going to be a lot of tasty food and beverages for you to try.”
