The Weyburn Arts Council is holding its Gifted Summer Art Market this month for the 7th year.

There will be around 35 vendors selling items such as crocheted stuffed animals, candied apples, oil paintings, and hot chocolate bombs.

“There are also a lot of family-friendly activities that will be going on there as well,” said Regan Lanning, Curator and Arts Coordinator for the City of Weyburn. “The Weyburn Newcomer Society will be coming with 3-legged races, those kinds of old-time games that we enjoyed so much as children.”

She added the Weyburn Oilwomen will be handing out chalk, and Castle & Coast Party Rentals will provide bouncy castles and snow cones.

“It is an absolutely fabulous family-friendly, full-day event. So, come on out, take in some art, and have a blast.”

The event takes place on Saturday, August 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Jubilee Park.
