Saskatchewan residents have until Sunday, December 31st, to make sure they have renewal stickers on their provincial health cards. Those without stickers expire that day.

This past fall, eHealth Saskatchewan mailed renewal packages to more than 689,000 households across the province. The packages included the stickers, which are affixed to the top right-hand corner of the front of the card.

"Everyone in Saskatchewan who is eligible for health benefits should have received their package by now,” explained Andrea Dutchak, the director of Health Registries for eHealth Saskatchewan. “So, if they haven’t, it’s likely because they’ve moved in the past three years, and haven’t updated their address, or maybe there was a change to their family and we weren’t aware of that.”

Those who don’t have a renewal sticker could find themselves being billed for medical services in the province. If they are eligible, they can seek reimbursement.

If you haven’t received your package, you can contact eHealth Saskatchewan at 1-800-667-7551 or process the request online.
