After the rainfall seen in Weyburn last week, there were concerns about whether the Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Association event would go as planned. However, the cowboys and cowgirls from across the province came out and put on spectacular performances throughout the weekend. 

The junior high events included bareback bronc, barrels, breakaway, goat tying, bull riding, chute dogging, poles, ribbon roping, saddle bronc and team roping. The senior events included bareback bronc, barrels, breakaway, bull riding, goat tying, poles, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, team roping and tie down roping. 

The Weyburn stop for the SHSRA was the 8th of the season, with one more event scheduled for Bengough before the high school rodeo finals. Here are where some of the Weyburn and area competitors are in the all-around standings.
