Highway 39 detour in place after collision

A detour has been put in place around a collision on Highway 39 northwest of Macoun. 

The incident took place shortly before 4:00 p.m. There are reports the incident involves a semi that has become stuck on the highway, but the RCMP have not confirmed those details at this time. 

Snowfall in the southeast has led to deteriorating highway conditions throughout the afternoon. Winter driving conditions were reported on all the highways in and around the Weyburn area as of 4:00 p.m., with loose, swirling and drifting snow reported. Some sections of Highway 6, south of the junction with Highway 13, were also reporting packed snow and snow drifts.
