You asked for it and now Houligan Acres is delivering its mobile petting zoo. 

“We have been asked throughout the years with us opening up our farm as we have done, for mobile petting zoos, and we've always just kind of veered away from it. But it looks like there's kind of the need for it and people are missing out on the chance to cuddle some animals. So I think we're going to take you all up on it,” said Amanda Krisa-Houle, co-owner of Houligan Acres. 

Houligan Acres will bring 12 to 15 animals and two pens to your event with an option to upgrade to pony rides.  

“We'll have two different petting pens, so we'll have one with the bunnies and the Guinea pigs and some of the smaller chicks and newborns. Then we'll have one with some of the larger animals, like the baby goats and the sheep and the ponies and pigs,” continued Krisa-Houle.

The mobile petting zoo is proving to be in high demand as many weekends are already booked.  

“We don't have a lot of availability left for that, (weekends) but we do still have some weekdays left.” 

Houligan Acres will be kicking off its first mobile event on June 11 for the fundraising event hosted by the Weyburn Therapeutic Animal Park.
