Culture Days will be held this year from September 22nd to October 15th. However, planning the month-long celebration begins in just two short weeks.

"I really feel that culture days cannot happen without involvement from our community members. So I want the goal of this evening is to have people who have been involved in Culture Days previously, or people who haven't but have attended and had a great time, it would provide them with information on how they can be involved and how they can help organizers," explained Regan Lanning, City Curator and Arts Coordinator with the Weyburn Arts Council.

"Culture days is it's an opportunity for us to create kind of like a celebration of arts, culture and creativity, and it happens across the country," she noted. "We are looking for community-minded individuals who would be interested in helping organizers make this the best culture days yet."

She said the options are infinite, and this first of a number of meetings will be the opportunity to fine-tune what gets organized, including sharing of cultural skills or trades, live or via video, and brainstorming all the ways to express those traditions.

The Culture Days information night will be held at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th at the Weyburn Credit Union Spark Centre. Lanning said the meeting will go for about 45 minutes.
